Dat Music-5 2012 albums you just got to listen to (guest article by Fotis Wizman Kyriakidis)
5 albums of 2012 you should listen to
#5: Celldweller – Wish Upon a Blackstar
![]() |
Album cover brought to you by the Rorsach Tests department of Hell. |
Celldweller.
Does this name ring a bell? The project of producer and self-loathing vocalist
Klayton has been around since 2003. His music has been used in the trailers for
pretty much every post-2003 action shlock-fest, including Doom. This guy
has made a living by licensing his tracks for media usage. For years, he has
been making an album called Wish Upon a Blackstar, and every year he
would release two finished songs from the album. When the album finally dropped
this year, we had already heard half of it.

Proceeds from the album will go to Klayton’s hair extensions fund for aspiring artists. |

What I Think About Stuff-Chronicles of Wormwood
![]() |
Why, Mister Burrows! Thank you for the nightmares! |
The Chronicles of Wormwood Or Blasphemy, done right.
When
considering matters of faith, you should approach them with a certain degree of
caution. Not because faith is something inalienable and unchangeable, immune to
philosophical scrutiny, but because the religious crowd possesses a great
number of zealots, who tend to view philosophical analysis on their religion as
an offense.

What I Think About Stuff-Alan Moore's MiracleMan run
Alan Moore’s MiracleMan run Or You thought this was gonna be watchmen, didn’t you?
About a year ago, I had one of those long, soul-searching conversations with a friend
And we were both talking about what kind of writers we’d like to be when we grow up. My friend chose wisely by picking ‘the successful kind of writer’. I, on the other hand, went for a more Frankensteinian approach.

What I think About Stuff-Transmetropolitan
Awesome Art brought to you by CraveThought
Transmetropolitan or Comic Books that Must survive the Apocalypse, Part 2
Once upon a time, a man who was wise in the ways of science fiction (but little else) told me:
“Science fiction is, essentially, sociopolitical satire”.

What I Think About Stuff-The Metabarons Retrospective, Part 4
Part 4-Aghora the Confusing
DISCLAIMER: Due to Aghora’s peculiar gender issues, this Metabaron will be referred to with the personal pronoun hse (he/she) and the possessive pronoun hir (his/her). If this confuses you, it’s because you only have one set of genitals.

What I think about stuff- The Metabarons Retrospective, part 1
Oh my God.
I absolutely LOVE the Metabarons.
And there you have it. That should have been the entirety of this review, but you’re not here for that of course. You’re not here to see me treat my fanboy reactions with dignity, or even watch me as I try to be objective about it. You’re here to watch me slobber all over it and by Jehovah, this is what I’m gonna do!
