What I Think About Stuff-Stuff I'll Do When I Grow Up: Rise and Fall (Part Two: The Grand Scheme of Things)

“Before we can understand the way the totality of the multiverse works, we need first to be wary of it” Doctor Infinity, Sentinel Handbook, 1963

Stuff I’ll do When I Grow Up-Rise and Fall (Part Two: The Grand Scheme of Things)

The multiverse has proven itself, time and again, to be both a place of infinite opportunity, as well as home to unimaginable peril. Sentinel and the entirety of the Rise and Fall universe have faced multiversal threats time and again, coming to know their enemies, categorizing and studying both them and the worlds they have originated from.

It was during the 50’s, in the aftermath of World War 2, when Dr. Infinity and his Infinity Squad commenced project DREAMTIME, in an attempt to explore and further understand the multiverse that surrounded their continuum.

Doctor Ariadne Infinity, exploring the outskirts of Carcossa.

Shamgar Shroud and the Quasid Emperor

Shamgar Shroud, the Last Champion of Terra.

Bound by chains forged from the heart of a dwarf star, enclosed in an dis-entropic shell, contained within an orichalcum casing, held aloft by gravitron beams that reproduced the effects of Magamun’s crushing gravity, Shamgar Shroud was led before the Quasid Emperor.

“Quasid-Ya!” the Grand Templar, Host of the Star Legions commanded and the assembled myriad of the Emperor’s personal guard saluted on the spot, flame-lances at hand, void pistols at the ready, each reflected upon the other on their suits of mirror armor, an army stretching to infinity.

Human Slaves of An insect Nation-Part 4

Poor, unkillable, lonely slayer of teenagers…

Human Slaves of An Insect Nation, part 4-The Horrors of Horror
Aaahh, horror. Now that’s a genre that’s been tossed around a lot. Movies try to do it but barely succeed

and games do it, even though sometimes horror was not their original focus or intent:

Make no mistake: Horror is not an easy genre to master or to use. It is, in fact (along with comedy) among the toughest genres to work with, mostly because it is based on manipulating your audience and knowing exactly which buttons to push and a masterful understanding of narrative flow for maximum effect.
